I wanted to order a rear sway bar kit for my 50 Ford project and, since I have a JAMCO rear suspension set-up, I have called them several times with no response. I can get into their order line but it informs me that all reps are currently helping other customers and to leave a message. I have done that several times and left messages over the past couple of weeks with my call back number, but they are not returning my calls. Anybody have any insight into whether they are still open?
I just asked this question recently as I had bought some parts from them, a whila ago and they haven't returned any Of my emails or calls, actually, the emails wouldn't even go through.. My friend had said that they sold the business to somebody don't know if it's true or not, but that's what I heard.
Unless they have sold again recently the sales was 7 years ago when the son of the original founder bought them . They were never know for great customer service.
I bought rear lowering springs from them several years ago for my 56 Buick. As soon as I dropped it off the Jack it went straight to the bump stops. Jamco was no help. That was my last purchase with them.
Sure you got the right JAMCO? https://www.jamcosuspension.com/ From past history,it's an improvement that you even got a recording. Honestly, run away as quickly as possible and shop somewhere else.
I had timely service and delivery from them on a couple of purchases, even one after the earlier sale, but I am getting no response from their order line now. I know many of you have had problems with delivery but I am questioning if they are still open for business.
2” lowering springs shouldn’t lower the car 5”. They weren’t nearly the right spring rate for that heavy of a car.
If you’re still running the rear leafs it might be worth giving Addco a call. Sometimes company’s have the old patterns or specs and even though they don’t catalog it they can make one up. Had that work a couple times on my bird.
Website indicates that they are. But,honestly,if they are that hard to reach when you are trying to give them money, how easy do you think it will be when you've paid for your order and STILL waiting for your parts? I sense a future "where is my stuff, I can't reach them" thread, like many in the past, but it's your dime. Best of Luck. The website says it’s updating the pricing but expect a two week delay in shipping or delivery one?!? I’m in agreement with the masses if you need springs go to Eaton or maybe Chris at Shoebox Central at least you can talk to him and get a straight answer. Plus he is a distributor for a lot of different vendors so he can find what you need
I bought a few things off them a few years back, they were great, prompt on the phone and shipping was stupid fast. If they are that hard to get ahold of, may need to look elsewhere or try back in a few weeks, maybe they are having utilities issues or something unforeseen.
Don't forget they are on Pacific time as well so they are 2 hrs behind you. The updating pricing thing just started as I was on their site last week and the prices were all showing up so if they are updating their computer system anything could be going on. Having dealt with numerous customers over the years that have done updates/changes to their point-of-sale systems none of them seemed to go smoothly. Even 3M had major issues when they switched systems a few years ago.
Tried to reach them for a few days in a row, no luck. Why they don't start using salesforce sms or similar service in order to stay in touch with the clients. I am sure they are loosing some customers now, just cause we can't get in touch with them when it is necessary.
I looked at street view dated june of 2022 and I saw this, but Jamco is actually 2 units to the left and still there. The address is for the whole building.
Like a year ago i ordered suspension parts for my 54 Chevy, couldnt make the payment in the webbshop so i tried to contact them, with no result, after trying every mailadress i could find i finally got an answer and they were wery helpful, a couple months later i got the parts. Try this email adress, this is direct to the seller who helped me. asmith@jamcoparts.com Like 10 years ago I ordered lowering spring for my Buick from Jamco and they were very helpful back then, thats why i choosed to order the Chevy parts from them this year, cant really understand why they are so hard to contact, when you finally get in touch with them they are top sellers
I'm glad you gt your parts.Frankly, in the second decade of the 21t century there's no excuse for not communicating. A business that can't be bothered to contact serious customers is just not going to be there if/when you have an issue. Unless it's something unrivaled in creation or something not available anywhere else, I prefer to deal with someone who is willing to be in touch.
Just call Shoebox Central and be another satisfied customer haha! Fantastic customer service and support.
If I were you, I’d shop somewhere else Try shoebox ford, they carry suspension kits as well and they may have your particular application
