20240607_134019.jpg 20220917_132000.jpg 20240610_172317.jpg I have an old homemade oldsmobile rocket 303/324 or Cadillac adapter to 1939 ford 3 speed. I am looking to reproduced a couple and was curious If there is anyone else out there looking for these. It took me a while to find this one. It is exactly like the Offenhauser 0301 adapter but would be steel. I also have the pilot bushing adapter that I am talking with a machine shop to reproduced.

With this I am going to make some beefy 303/324 olds motor mounts. The design is from the 50s littlebooks and much stronger then the hurst style as it is .25 plate steel. Just curious as I know these motors are still popular. Doug

Why not water jet them and drill and tap from the original. They should be Blanchard ground. I’d make 10 to start.

    Jimmy,

I guess what you're saying is the bolt pattern changed from old Ford to newer? My T5 is from '95, so must be different. AFAIK, the bell housing was the same for old chevys.

Thanks for the idea Jimmy six. I've talked with the machine shop and have a couple ideas. Also got the motor mounts done in cad and have a template in 1/8 plate. Plus fuel pump cover. 20240613_141035.jpg 20240613_141222.jpg 20240613_141038.jpg 20240613_135649.jpg

If you look at the photo Douglasb includes. You will see an early Ford transmission, up to 1948, with a ring in between the transmission and Oldsmobile engine. It’s about 3/8” to 1/2” thick.
This no connection to what you are showing which is 50 years newer.

    Samiri Mike,
I would imagine that it would work. I'm just not sure about the input shaft lengh and the shaft the throw out bearing rides on. I picked up a flathead adapter today at Lars and can see what it looks like.

I’d be interested in one. Is this project still in process?
