   To run that rear end you need to relocate the brake mounting brackets and swap to S10 drum brakes. 4x4 disc brakes will NOT clear on the back of a 49-54 Chevy. I actually have a 2000 S10 rear end in my 53 that I'll be removing for a 55 Chevy rear. One reason is the brake modification is more work than I wanna put into the S10 rear lol
