I'm able to build a mini c-notch for my '53, but right now, I'm lazy, busy, and in a hurry. Does somebody make a mini c-notch kit specificly for a '53/4? what about a kit that is easily modified to fit my frame?
Mini? I have done a few cars just by welding a 2 x 4, 1/8 wall rectangle tube on top of the frame, and then cut out the original frame under it. the gusset and cap off the open ends. Quick and easy. The biggest pain is cutting out the trunk floor for welding access, and clearance. Gives you a quick 3 inches extra.
Just got off the phone with Alex at Gambino. Instead of trying to sell me something, he spent 15 minutes giving me information and ideas for me to build a structurally sound c-notch. Thanks, Alex.
