I tried searching through old posts, and I am finding out the the Guide 682 c headlights are worth their weight in gold. But did guide make any headlight assemblies smaller than the 682's? I was hoping for 5-3/4" instead of the standard (7"?). I think I know where there is probably half a dozen sets the owner will let me take in exchange for buying him a cup of coffee. Farmers RULE!
you could take the tops off some rusted out guides and put them on something else anglias had a small bullet headlight with a neat shape
We have "tractor lights" on our roadster. They are pretty small and to use dual filament sealed beams we had to modify them slightly. They actually work fairly decent.
what about some of these. maybe put a truck roof type running light on top for the blinker? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/King...014QQitemZ330193761593QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Head...015QQitemZ250189781607QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HEAD...015QQitemZ250185814082QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V something like this on top of it.. http://cgi.ebay.com/Pacer-Deluxe-Ca...ryZ88433QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/Pacer-Teardrop-...sPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/5-Me...020QQitemZ300175639073QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW I hope this is not stupid.. I to have been looking for cheap old looking lights.
Yeah, 682-C are expensive, but you have a million other choices... guide 903, blc 682, arrow, king bee, etc. Search ebay for "old headlights" or "vintage headlights" Lots to be had for less than 50 bucks. Smaller, IMHO, just doesn't look right. Rich
I have a smaller set made by Dietz. I have some of the real Guides too. They have gone up a lot the last 6 months or so. But you are also seeing some really nice sets come out of the woodwork. I'll look at the Dietz lights again to see if they have a number on them. They are what I going to run on my Touring.
