I think this is a phantom called a "Club Coupe" first penned by Thom Taylor.

  9. It's a Vicky or Victoria as Russ B said or some variation of one. Build it and have fun with it, just don't talk about it to much here because it's not traditional and this is a traditional hot rod forum and we need to respect that, and you'll get some flak from some of the 20 and 30 year old keyboard wizards who know exactly how it was 50 or 60 years ago in the world of hot rodding.

it is not a Victoria, it is half way between a Vicky and a coupe, someone actually built a steel one several years back, painted black, looked good, not sure why someone would start off on the non traditional thing when it is just a body.

  11. I thought everyone back in "The Day" wore jeans with big ol' cuffs and giant overgreased pompadores and all the girls looked like an unholy cross between, Betty Page, Lucy Ricardo and Lydia the Tattooed Lady

I figured I get some flak for this, I'd love to start with a steel body (it's just not in my budget)

I couldn't find another like this surfing the net for hours yesterday/today, so figured it was a non-original style.

thanks for the replys, I plan to put on a 30 Model AA frame with a little modifying.....

I like it. It reminds me very much of the big Lincoln KB Vicky coupes (essentially a Vicky with a bustle) but the extra **** on this one is a little flatter and nicer to my eye than the Lincolns, which remind me of a Vicky with a 32 coupe tail added on for more luggage space. I think this gl*** one would look very nice full fendered on a longer WB ch***is, all black with plain wires (very Al Capone!) regardless of who did the gl*** body. There is a fellow down here in the bay area that has a red one with a 460 in it and it's a very cl***y ride. Do they call those Luxo-rods? Gary

I could live without the hu****o truck on this one, however.

The only thing I can think of that would make that half way decent is make it a drag car of some kind. They used a lot of fibergl*** bodies for that put big wheels in the back skinny's in the front .

Have fun, man. I look forward to seeing what you do with it. With all the cool gl*** cars out there, I can't believe some folks are still steel heads to the end.

Im on the fence over it, reminds me of those extended cab pick-ups, basically a good idea for the larger person but never look right or maybe they are made mostly as ugly street rods. JW

You are about to begin on a build of something that never was, and in fibergl*** to boot. Perfect road ready '32 Gl*** 3Windows are tough to sell today. Have fun with the build, but it isn't something I'd invest in. Bob

I'd call it a fibre Gl*** Victoria. I love it. Get to work.

thanks for all this info, ideas and even negative input (helps motivate).... I did buy this with all the panels needed to finish the body.
I'm gonna start a build thread after I get things going.... I don't think It'll be deleted
maybe I'll call it a "34 fibergl*** Coupe de Vick"

I like it too and think it has great potential. Ignore the snobs, wannabes and serial critics ......

    Best wishes on your build.

Did the body come with a grill shell, the firewall resembles a 33/34 Ford. HRP

Looks like a 1:1 Flintstone resin casting. Hope everything fits better than with Flintstone bodies. Seriously though, Good Luck with your build.

looks a bit like a Vicky to me. Build it right, and everyone will remember the one they had just like it back in the day. The Fat guy I see in the mirror likes the dimensions for other reasons. The only early car I really fit into was my 31 Buick.

That is odd. But it could go both ways, the most importend is what you do next!

What are your plans with frame, axels and engine!
If you run MII front end, LS1 engine, and EFI, then this will get a hard time!

But if you run Straight Axel, vintage halibrand big'n'little and a hot hemi, '60 drag style, then I'm in.
Or a Flathead and steallies, then you will have some followers. ;-)
But again good vision, helps you not getting deleted.

I'm running a few ideas through my head; basically, full hood/sides but no fenders with a medium ride height. solid front axle and small block chevy/automatic I've been working on test right side.jpg
