Trying to identify this box...put up next to a 1932 box, it's about 5/16" longer and looks the same as the '32 box. I've never seen a '36 box. What do you think?

It's not a 35/36 steering box as they were cross-steer. It is definately very similar to a 32 or 33/34 but in all of my experiences I have not seen one with a flange like this on the sector housing.

Gemmer made steering gears for more than just Ford so it makes sense that it could be nearly identical in appearance and design but be for another application.

It looks like a 32-34 TRUCK box...like BB.

What is the diameter of the sector shaft where it comes out of the sector housing? 1-1/4? And is the steering shaft 7/8 rather than 3/4?

Wow, it didn't even occurr to me to think big truck. And we have one of those on the shelf Probably the last time I looked at it was when it got put there 10 years ago. Not a big demand for big truck boxes. Good spotting, Neal.
