Got this with some other parts at auction. Just wondering if it is a Bell wheel? It is chromed steel, and not the best shape. But would clean up fairly good. Also what's it worth. Just thought I would ask the experts....JOHN yimg-1111567704-1--1942579536.jpg

Hard to say... A lot of people made that wheel. That one looks to be a good one though. No idea on what it's worth. Sorry.

Real Bell wheels had a rib in the rubber where the grip meets the spokes. That's not Bell wheel.

Bell wheels were four spoke and like Dirty Dug mentioned above had a ridge on the rubber by each of the spokes.

In my research I have found them with and without the ridge, Also in 3 and four spoke design. This is looking at pictures of survivor cars. That's why I thought I would ask here...JOHN

  8. Bell did make a 3 spoke wheel. HRP

  9. I have several Bell catalogs from 1947 - 1953. They show the 3 spoke in 14 1/2" and 15 1/2" and the 4 spoke in 15 1/2" only. They also sold a 4 spoke "Indy" wheel in 17 1/2" but it had finger grips and came with chrome or black Dulite spokes. White rubber was $20.00 extra.

Could also be a PSI repop. They don't have the ridge where the rubber meets the spoke.

Looks like a Bell midget wheel from here. Could be a Schroder though? Not all the Bells have the rubber ridge at the end of the spokes, I've come across them both with and without. I'd say it should fetch about a buck and a half at Hershey (Pomona?),depends how it cleans up. I'm no expert on them,by any stretch.
