I dunno, if it was mine and I was selling I'd want at least $1000 for it. If I was buying it would only be worth $500. Seriously, to me it depends on the motor. If it's know to be good (rebuildable, no cracks) the a grand isn't that bad, if you don't know if the motor is any good then $500 tops IF the parts are not rusted beyond use Lot's of good parts for a project there and I'm sure someone could use a good frame to recoupe some of it. If you buy a flatmotor, tranny, rear, wishbone, brakes/spindles all seperately then you would spend more then that.
I was told the motor will run and has no cracks, guess I will find out when I go pick it up,got the seller down to 800.00
Price,.....That flathead is worth $500 and I have seen the trannies listed for $300 each. If he wants $500 for the whole thing, grab it.... As someone said, you could always part it out, if you don't locate a good body. Keep us posted, please !! Happy Roddin' 4TTRUK
Well, if this helps, I sold one almost like it that. It was a running and driving deal. If fact the guy put the seat on it and drove it home. Oh, I got $1500, but that was in the late 90's. Hope that helps you decide what to do.
I just paid 500. for a motor, 300 for a trans, 150 for a rearend and was glad to get them for that price.
I need to move to where you guys would only give $500 for it,,,, they must be plentiful around there.
If it was close to me I would put down a grand so fast.. I purchased a no rust frame no motor or trans that is rolling for 500 and felt like I stole it. From a different seller I purchased a 1946 front axle assembly complete with stear box shocks for 150 and I was very very happy. you are talking about parts that are almost 70 years old
