Seriously,I had a good friend that was a engineer there for more than 30 years but he p***ed away several years ago, I also have a hot rod friend that works there during the planned outages. HRP

 

I use orthicon to control ants and crabgr*** out in the yard. Works pretty good.

 

Now to stir it a bit for the older set....Is it wrong to say "Duce" if you're Italian? After all, he did make the trains run on time....

That is only one of the reasons I dislike "Rat Rods". Tolerating or even promoting unsafe building practices is insane. Such junk should not even be allowed in the gate!

Wish I had a picture: saw a center steer east coast modified with the steering box held in with muffler clamps. The u-bolt was welded into the corner junction of the rollcage front upright and one of the cage side bars. Now if he had only used the wingnuts to tighten it all up...

 

That, is cl***ic. Who needs to pay a machine shop to lengthen a driveshaft.

Does anyone know where I can get the clear radiator hose that's being used on this "car"? I also like the connecting rod being used as a steering mount bracket AND to mount the radius rod; the shock mounted to the radius rod also shows ingenuity in dual function. He's probably a plumber, and had an extra pipe wrench just lying around; use what you know and are familiar with. That frame is't "Z'd" either, it's X-Y-Z'd!!! The guys got talent, just not in building cars. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
