Is this Custom 61-62 Chrysler Real?

    if the builder had shown a little more restraint, the frontend swap could have been really cool!
    a bit over the top for me, tho

    If we painted say a maroon , dropped the flames and the stupid out-to-lunch engine and replaced it eith a flat hood, how bad would it be ???

    It would be a start - then maybe keep the Chrysler A-pillars - chopped but not that chopped - with a '59/'60 El Camino roof and hardtop-style side windows so the cockpit doesn't have that carved-from-a-bar-of-soap look.

    Agree 100%, back in the day we didn't have flat black cars of any kind (gray primer spots were very kool), we didn't have Model A sedans chopped so low as to not see out of the windshield nor did we have Model A coop bodies lower than the engine and the tires and we certainly thot four-door anything was Mom's car and wouldn't be caught dead in one on cruise nite...

    Diluted yes, taken today as traditional, yes. Thinking out of the box, sure but we never strayed very far from what we learned.
