Is it alright if I ask about HF purple spray guns or cowl steering? I'm only asking because while I was researching, I found two whole pages of redundant questions and very few had anything to do with those topics. Lots of comments but no questions.
I'll admit that I haven't read every post on this thread, but this particular post stands out to me. Building hot rods and building build threads are both labor-intensive processes. I'm glad there are folks on here who are pretty damn good at doing both. @BigJoeArt is one of them.
No more pinion angle threads for me. I'm learning that the only pinion angle I need to worry about is mine...... and it's just fine.
I think that's a European thing (I see you are from UK). I have the feeling that the scene (which of course is only a fraction of the US) is stable or growing here and there are many vintage cars (pre 1970) brought over from the US. So there must be people buying them otherwise they would not be imported.
Still one of the busiest Forums around. Fordbarn traffic is way down as are a number of my OT Forums I think this is one of the best forums, lots of build content.
I used to live on the Fordbarn like the HAMB but was asked,in my opinion unreasonably, to take a short break and just never went back. Not vindictive really, just found I could get along fine without the fix, other sites being more compatible. It's been years.
Since this thread started, I’ve been just observing the page count and general activity. I log on once, sometimes twice a day, primarily morning and evening. Each and every time, seven pages of posts come up. The interesting thing is that it is never above 7 pages, probably part of the programming structure, but 7 pages seems to be the max. Just an observation.
And a lot of those 7 pages are classified ads that are being bumped up. If they weren’t there, it’d probably be about 4-5 pages.
Someone asking a question shouldn't take 7 pages to answer although some discussions may take more, there are many here that can make a point with very few words. I enjoy reading most of what is posted and always follow an interesting thread as long as it last. HRP
I don't know if the H.A.M.B. is shrinking but the number of build threads definitely are. Many H.A.M.B members have moved over to the Instagram machine; I broke down in February and set up an Instagram account to follow the old school H.A.M.B.ers who ironically are often 20 to 30 years the juniors of the current members. All thought I didn't join until 2014 (I was sure if I ignored the interweb it would go away) I had been hearing about it since about '99 when I was a Junior in high school. Back then the H.A.M.B. was very much an underground thing you had to be into the traditional hot rod/Kustom Kulture scene to know about it.
So.... some cars are positive ground ... what happens when one gets into a accident with a negative ground car ... ( pulls pin and quietly slips away ) my favorite to drop among experts fabricator john miss you dad
