Anyone out their buy a y block isky cam that didn't have the nose that reaches through the cam retainer like the stock '57 cam does. Is there a different timing gear or a spacer to buy to make this work?

Measure the snout from the front journal out and see if its 1.425 or thereabouts.

I should have said the snout on the isky cam is missing the step that reaches just through the cam retainer and determines the endplay for the cam. Any help appreciated. 54chop

  4. There is no add on to the cam for extra length.

As I previously suggested-measure the cam snout length from the front journal to the end of the cam.

It should be 1.425. If its not that length-call Isky
    .
If it is that length look at the rest of the parts thickness.
