I bought two 255 waterpump rebuild kits and my buddy cut the retaining ring grooves and shafts down to the 337 profile but I’m still having issues installing them?

I ruined one seal assembly trying to smush the impeller on so it seems the seals are completely different. I’m thinking that I have to shave the nose of the impeller down to fit but then I don’t know?

When the impeller is installed, should the impeller be flush with the housing surface or should it stick up a bit?

I know Grainger sells seals but is the seal for the 255 the correct one or is there another one that you guys have used on your 337 builds that fits like factory?

    Here are some pics :)

Oh also.....the little copper seal. Does that go against the bearing or the seal?

Looked at my engine again last night and see that ill have to install it just a smidge below the housing because it mounts flat.
The impeller just slides on and off the shaft easy now so I'm going to use slip fit loctite to install them.
