    Hello,

Out west, it has been unusually cloudy for months. First it was left over sprinkles from February coastal fog, March more fog + sprinkles, April showers, then May gray. What heat there was battled the coastal fog and there were more foggy days along the shoreline. If the fog won the battle against the sunny heat farther inland, then the fog rolled about a mile inland and it was packed thick at the coast.

Soon the sunny inland built up enough power to move the fog back to the ocean and now, the blue ocean was visible on coastal drives. This was a battle, coastal residents are used to, but for years past, it had been warmer during March. Short sleeve T-shirt weather. Not long sleeve T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts all day and into the night. The average was a cool to cold 60 degrees. At least 10 degrees colder than we are used to along the coast.

But, fear not, the sun is always there and in a break through the clouds comes days and nights that give off hope for a sunny day the next time we see the daylight.

Finally, this week is warm and sunny all day long. The blue ocean is a delight to drive by and enjoy the waves rolling into the shoreline… Definitely, T-shirt weather… So Cal style…

Because a free wind is blowing through your hair
And the days surround your daylight there
    Seasons crying, no despair

Alligator lizards in the air, in the air…”
