So why aren't GMC poppin' out similar retro-mobiles?

 

Sounds like cool deal to be involved in. I'll look for it on the tube. I don't know about takin someones car. That could get you killed around here.

 

I know taking someone’s car sounds a bit cruel but they are not just stealing random cars, there is always someone in on it that knows the owner.

One victim on the El Camino show didn't believe that it was actually his car.

I wonder if they could come up with a show where they kidnap your old lady, you report her missing, and then seven days later they return her looking like Jenna Jameson?

 

Painted bumpers suck. On Pre-70's cars anyway.

But, I'm glad you got to be in on that, Brick...sounds like a really cool experience. Those guys seem like they would be fun to work with.

However, I have to agree that if anyone touched my shoebox like that...they'd be breathing through a tube when I got done with them.

 

The premise of the show sounds LAME.
The one thing I liked about 'Rides',was no fake drama.
Now they come up with a show built around fake drama,lying,and deceit.
The whole idea rubs me the wrong way.
I hope the STUPID concept doesn't detract from all the hard work involved.

And I hope the poor guy doesn't have to buy a replacement windshield
for that car,sometime down the road.
He probably can't afford to insure it now.

Think about it... they turned a four door, a car that is PARTS CAR fodder, into a cool cruiser!

For the so called "traditional" rodders... you could paint the damn thing flat black and put red solids on it with white walls... and a mexican blanket for a seat cover... and be STYLIN'!!

Hahahahahaha...

I like it, and can't wait to see the show.

I wanted to try and do this whole post without mentioning WyoTech but here goes. The 56 belongs to the WTI foundation, they give scholarships to our students and the guy we took the car from didn't actually own it, but he was responsible for it. The car was donated about a month ago and the plan is usually to just freshen the car up and resell it. Now the school can use it as a maketing tool and when it is sold it will contribute more money to the scholarship fund.

I wouldn't worry about the show stealing your cars, the only one that seemed kind of sketchy was the 1950 Ford they did, it looked to be original, the mods done on the show were all very tastefull and the owner had just reciently purchased the car.

PS- as far as the show Rides goes, what's the main thing about that show that sucks? If your thinking J.P. then you'll be happy to know they are making some changes

We did major modifications to the bumpers and we are in LARAMIE, WY (BFE) and what you see is actually seven days there just wasn't a realistic way to do them chrome and have them back in time and it is one more thing that changes it up a little from Titus's car.
