About 18 years ago I ventured down to Florida to see and possibly purchase a 1951 Mercury Coupe, Body Shell only. Upon arrival it had been painted about 1 month previous very shiny Black 2 stage. The body was very straight and rust free, it also came with many chrome parts. Fortunately I also had brought my trailer with me, went through a couple of snow storms but arrived home safely. After a few months a couple of financial issues came up and I had to re sell it to a fellow about 4 hours from me. Turn clock ahead about to 2 months ago, the car appeared at a local cruise night with a For Sale Sign on it , I knew right away it was my old car. Spoke to the owner and verified it in fact was mine. He asked what I was driving I showed him my real nice 55 Chev. 2-door wagon. He loved it and a deal was made. The Merc still wears the same paint but everything else was up dated. I LOVE it, and it will not be going anywhere now that I have it back
