people want something for nothing in these times.im meeting more and more people i just dont like.it didnt used to be this way.man didnt mind paying you a fair price for something abck in the day but now they had rather try and cheat you out of something. or just plain steal it.i know times are hard for alot of folks but what ever happened to integre***y and honesty.i grew up in the late 60s and early 70s,my generation was gonna change the world. well we sure did and look at the **** we left behind.they have taken god and prayers out of the school systems and sporting events and even christmas.last year went to lowes and the cashier said have a happy holiday. i asked her why she didnt say have a merry christmas and she said they were told not to it might offend muslims.this country was founded on christian beliefs and when you take out those beliefs you end up with ****.it has happened over and over again in societys.now its americas turn.and i am not a big believer in god.disipline went out the window, kids are growing up doing mostly what the hell they want with out that big fear of the parents because now its against the law to bust thier ***.its all the little things that peole are doing nowdays that are adding upto big trouble down the road.stealin from stores and driving off without paying for gas, seems like that aint no big deal today but when i was a kid you would have had your *** handed to you by your parents but today its the damn parents that are doing it just as much as the kids.im really getting scared for my grandkids.what kind of world am i leaving them.sorry for the rant it was a bad day. lol

You might be able to blame Walmart for that one.One possibility is they were defective anyway, returned to Walmart, and THEY put them back on the shelf, knowing full well they were defective.
I know for a fact that they will do that.I'm in the bicycle biz,and have seen the same bike, clearly defective as hell, brought to me for repair......more than once.Person one buys it,brings it to me,I tell them to take it back for a refund. Two weeks later, the same bike comes in for repair, different owner this time, yep, they just bought it at Walmart.NO question that they shouldn't have sold it again.Probably happens a lot,but I've only seen the ones that people bring to me.

  6. Reminds me of a time I was sitting in a grandstand at the race track and the two women behind me, one was telling the other about how her brother bought a big screen TV at Wal-mart and gets it home to find someone had returned it after their dog chewed up the remote control - and the store was a total **** about him re-returning it, to the point of threats of calling the police, they were afraid the guy was going to go postal on them or something.

Which, I'd be pissed if I spent the $1200 or whatever it was to find it was used, too. These stores should do a little more dilligence when they take a return to make sure it's not tampered with or broken.

I kinda remember something in the news about being able to return food items at walmart and someone didnt like their tv diner or something and returned it to walmart... after it had been opened, cooked and partially eaten, of course they took it back.

Might not remember it correctly its probably a friend of a friend of a friend story but with walmart anything is possible as long as its shady and stupid.

I bought some groceries at Walmart and the peanut ****er was missing the silver foil. So I took it back and they wouldn't take 'because the silver foil is missing'. That's why I'm returning it *****!

There's a store that sells manufactured electronics. I bought a VCR, and at home the ****ons on the remote were dirty, and it didn't work. They exchanged it for free, but the second one didn't work either. Finally another drive across town and the third one did. They didn't do returns, only exchanges.
It was obvious their 'remanufacturing' was to put it in a new box and resell it.

  9. I have never shopped there, been in there twice.....wait I think I bought a soda from McD inside.

I worked at Fry's Electronics one summer when there was a heat wave in the Seattle area. The store had tons of air conditioners that were flying out of the store. Our heat waves last for about 5 days, and the rest of the year it doesn't get hot enough to need an air conditioner.

Yup, the air conditioners were all returned as soon as the heat wave broke.

This was no surprise to me; Nordstrom's has a generous return policy which people use as a rental service for expensive clothing. They're legendary for taking back dresses and gowns stained with makeup and shoes with significant wear on the soles.

The world hasn't changed; there's always been scammers, crooks and cheap *******s. No sense in dwelling on them; it'll just ruin your day.

My wife worked grocery markets for years and wow does she have some stories, the stuff I have seen borders on outright theft and when people caught are very loud and obnoxious.

I was 15 and working in a small neighborhood grocery store---saw a guy open a jar of olives and chug about 1/2 of them. Called him out on it and got threatened. He was a big *******. I called him a thief and he had a talk with my boss about "MY" at***ude. Times haven't changed---that was 54 years ago.

I used to work at a marine discount store and a guy came in and asked if we had rubber dock bumpers in 3 foot lengths. We told him that they only came in 6 foot pieces, so off he went to shop. Later that day we found a cut off 3 foot piece of dock bumper laying hidden on one of the shelves with a hacksaw he had taken from our tool dept. We aren't sure how he got the other 3 foot piece out of the store, maybe down his pants leg.

Dishonesty, thievery, and deception, are traditional.

  20. I've had one of those, too, some old fart at the eat in part of the deli in the grocery store helped himself to a muffin and didn't pay for it, so I told my sister who was working there, and she said something to her boss, and they confronted the guy, who when he figured out I was who told on him, had the balls to yell at me. Now this ***hole was driving not a brand new, but a very shiny well cared for Cadillac, was dressed in nice clothes, obviously not poor, and he couldn't spring the 75 cents for a ****ing muffin. And somehow it was wrong for me to point out that he was stealing. If he hadn't been an old grey haired guy I probably would have knocked him on his ***. And this was like 10 years ago, too, not something recent.
