Hi, My name is Butch Howe and I go by "Straightpipes". I am 59 years old and live in the godforsaken frozen north near Ballston Spa, NY. (Yes, thats the place, land of the Rolling Bones). I figured that I would read all of this stuff for a few years before diving in. That way if I got in there I could use all of that knowledge to make you guys think I actually know something! I like to build flatheads. Seems like I've always got something on the fire. I'm currently bangin on a 34 Ford pickup that should be down the road by spring. I got into the drags ( where were you in 62? ) with an Olds powered 53 Stude A-g***er and things have been going on ever since. I have a very patient wife who h***les me not. ( Had a 327 under the kitchen table for a whole winter way back when!). She says that if I'm out in the shop I'm not out gettin into the ****s. Looking forward to joining in!
