Its been a long time coming, but my '30 coupe is finally drivable. Ive been collecting parts for this thing for almost 10 years now. Ive tried extremely hard to keep all the parts for it all early Ford stuff, using as few new or repro parts as possible. With the exception of the radiator, tires, and brake lines, the newest part on the thing is the F1 steering box. Im pretty happy with the way it has come out and Im having an absolute blast driving it! Still working some bugs out, and tying up some loose ends. But its on the road!

Chop or not, looks great. I'll bet its great to be driving after collecting parts for ten years. I wouldn't know. I have another 5 years or so to wait.

  21. looks cool, i love traditional coupes, i wouldnt chop 5 inches out of it, ,just 3 inches will look perfect.

Thanks for all the positive feedback! I know I like it, it makes me feel good to hear other people do too! Its definitely a blast to drive, the basically stock flathead has plenty of power for a car as light as this is. The unchopped look has pretty much grown on me, and Im cool with it. Its a pretty awwesome feeling sitting behind the wheel and driving something that has been floting through my head and I've been dreaming about as long as this one has. Its also a little scary sine I know who built it.... :D

  24. I like it, I'm happy for you and I'm pissed as I see you also have a Mercury, 53 I believe. Go drive it and enjoy it.

I like the effort on the original parts, I know how hard it is to get that look, great job!! (too many people grab that catalog making it easy on themselves)
