I like that car more and more each time I look at it. One of my Favorites

  4. I'd love to see some detail on how you did the channel, especially in the cowl area. I'm building a '29 coupe and am at that step now.

thanks for all the responses guys,

i pulled the heads today, and im not going to lie it was pretty ugly, i am not sure how this car was running as good as it was (or even at all). there wsa so much crap on the pistons and around the combustion chambers/valves i couldnt believe it, my heart sank, it looks like the top of the pistons have mushroom forrest growing on them (hmm the smurf comments are making even more sense now). amazingly the cylinder walls arent scored except for a couple of light areas, i decided to tear the whole thing apart and see if i can salvage it without having to bore it and buy new pistons, im going to take the heads in tomorrow and take the block in to be hot tanked and honed, i really dont have the money to do a full rebuild right now so i hope i dont find anything else askew when i tear into the block tomorrow.

  10. Sometimes a car just sticks out and not just because it's blue. Great ride.

    Hey Tetnas,

How have the friction shocks worked out so far on the front?
I'm weightin' usining them on my T on A Bomb rails with a
Bib Block Mercury 428, and figger the weight of a Nail cant be
    to different.

The site of that photo shoot in your post???? That wouldn't be
in Costa Mesa Calif. would it? ' looks like the same shop I worked
at in the 70's Custom van era.

    Killer blue coupe, btw!

    thanks

the friction shocks work pretty good, im sure normal tube shocks would work better but for the look sometimes you have to sacrifice.

actually thats the old Mandic Motors building in downtown HB, unknown to most it actually used to be a Hudson dealership, hopefully it wont get torn down anytime soon
