  1. I was blessed enough to have Bob spend a day and a half here in the Hills with me. He was on his way to the Ego Rama during the tie I was doing final ***embly on my old T. Took him and his buddy sightseeing in the Chevy and hung out with the T and my dad at my folks place.

Good to be seen rather than viewed.
When I did Ego-Rama he was my co-driver, so we spent 2+ weeks on the road together. He was the best travel companion I ever had other than my wife

A decade or so ago, Bob stopped by @drdave 's orthodontic clinic to have a tour. Dr Dave called me to let me know that Bob was in town. I was not able to be there right then as I was taking care of something at work. I said I can be there in a bit. Bob and his wife went down the street to Smoothie King and got something and waited until I was able to be there to meet him. He did not know me, had never met me, just knew me from the HAMB, and he stayed around until I was able to get there. That tells you what kind of a man he was.

I love reading the stories that you guys tell about him. He was gone before i came here, but reading his old posts and the things that you guys say about him just makes me happy. Easy to see that he was one of a kind and a helluva man.

You would have liked him and he would have liked you.

My favorite BobK story, which I've told many times but I'll tell it again for the new people, Bob had a very nice mild custom '62 Corvette. There was a car show at a small drive-in in downtown Milwaukee that was always packed tight, you had to get there really early to get a parking spot, and I saw Bob there, with a really good spot on the street, right up front.

I asked him, how'd you get that spot? He told me he dropped the car off there at like 2am and went back to his hotel to sleep until the next morning and came back. The guy parked a '62 Corvette on the street in downtown Milwaukee and left it there all night just to be a part of the show. The guy had no fear about using his cars as cars. That's how that '52 Chevy convertible got over 200,000 miles on it. He took it everywhere.

I was just thinking of Bob the other day. I always enjoyed talking to him, and he genuinely seemed to enjoy talking to me. Super cool. Rest easy, Bob.
