a buddy of mine has 4 pieces of crank from his 292 6 banger...1 piece still has a howards rod / piston and flexplate...and is hanging in his truck shop.....ended up in the low 12's in his 66 biscayne.....on a 125 shot.....the same motor with a roller cam and webers went something like 7.90's or something in a rear engine dragster....the monday after he puked it .....he gets a call from clifford or one of the other 6 banger hipo company's......telling him about a new balancer that had come out .....and would help with crank breakage....my only left overs from puking my 383 chev.....a couple pushrod pieces & a busted roller lifter....s****ed the rest.....i do have a bent big block chev rod from a crank break ....that took out the front of the block....and cam journal.....thinking the moroso aluminum crank hub did that one in.....brandon

From my Hemi... I'm optomistic that this little 331 may live again though... going to have the block looked at. Things amazingly looked decent except for the bottom of the molested cylinder. No damage in the compression area.
