The initial****embly of my 32 chassis and driveline is just about done. I still have a lot to do like measure for a driveshaft, run brake and fuel lines but it sure is nice to see it on the ground. Its has 16" wheels and drum brakes all the way around. I won't know how the stance will be until I get the body on it but so far so good.
Looks great - Clean and simple!! What size and brand are those tires? Are they radials? -'cause if they are, they still look good! Malcolm
I think Vaphead (alliance supplier Riley Automotive) got them for me. It will be paint. Same color as the body. Similar to Hot Rod Flatz red oxide.
Malcolm, They are Cokers new classic radial. 600X16 on the front and 760X16 on the rear. cuznbrucie has them on his 3W as well. I think they will be a good compromise tire for us old farts. Good ride with bias ply looks but a few hundred on them will tell for sure.
Nice looking Rich;you gonna have it ready for Billetproof? Is this a new build or a reiteration of your roadster?
I love looking at the early chassis, they are so****y without the body on them.. kinda like a chick with out her Bikini on
Nice, clean and simple - good job! I am generally not much of a SBC enthusiast, but when using one, this is how to do it well and properly and for the right reason.
Looks nice! Either I don't have my brain in gear or something else, but I think you've got a reverse pitched engine-fan mounted there. I won't work a bit. This one looks to be made for a reverse rotating engine (marine maybe?)
Ray, Yes it will be ready for Billetproof. This is a different 32 and will need some pinstriping. Here is the body:
