I took the door trim off of my parts Valiant and installed into my project... and cleaned the door panels, and sprayed a ton of WD40 on the window hardware that was sticking...

Used aircraft stripper on my 301 chevy engine. Stripped it all nice and clean and washed it down with laquer thinner. Might get around to painting it next weekend. Painted my waterpump and crank pulley. Got the script valve covers cleaned up and in primer. Gonna get the starter and generator cleaned up and painted next weekend too. Maybe one of these days I'll get another digital camera and take some pics.

Aircraft stripper is cool stuff... I use that for bigger paint removal projects and carb cleaner for the small stuff.

Hey Fiddy, It's like Red Green always says..."If the women don't find you handsome, at least they can find you handy". or somethin' to that effect.

Starting getting the Sedan ready for its fenders.. got two rear fenders into primer and spent some time tweaking the running board brackets to fit. the holes in the frame did not line up requiring some clearancing of holes in the brackets. Thats done and they are hanging from the ceiling drying. May get the fenders installed by end of the week

Worked on the fenders for the 53 some more. Then some work on the rear quarters. It's taking me a while to fill all the holes in that body. Too much trim on it! Also went through the chop in my head a couple of times on how i want it to look when its done

Hope you don't mind a FNG poping in, but I worked on my T bucket that I have for sale, fixing the previous owners screw up of mounting the motor mounts 5 inches too far back. and burnt the crap out of 2 fingers in the process. Looking foward to friday off, swap meet on saturday, and working on it again next sunday (hopefully mounting the engine mounts inthe RIGHT spot) Have great work week!

bought a messed up 57 chevy 2 door post a while back. some genius cut out a big chunk of the firewall, some other genius got another firewall and booger tacked it in, then painted it like it was done?

somewhere along the line the body spent some time way from the frame. the floor is all buckled, along with the rockers. looks like someone also crashed into the firewall. prolly hauled around more than once with a forklift driven by a chimp.

so this weekend I removed the firewall brace, bent it back to where it should be, portapowered the firewall back to where it should be, and welded the whole mess back together and finish welded the firewall chunk back in.

firewall is done... next Ill tackle the huge hole in the floor for who knows how many different floor shift configurations this car must have had. every new hole was made with an air chisel or a torch.

already filled at least 20 holes throughout the floor for different seat belts and seats,,, some holes were for who knows what.

the best part? someone was going to tub it... cut out the inner wheelwells with a canopener, along with the package tray and all the related supports, then another supergenius cut the same parts from another car and booger tack welded the whole mess back in, along with several different types of screws (both sheet metal and wood) and slathered the whole mess with some sort of bondo glass, then painted it to match the car without sanding anything.

don't even get me started on the damage and "repairs" to the quarter panels.

decided i'm gonna use stock A shocks (at least up front).
was kind of tuff cuz i was using spring perches without the ball for dog bones.
used a couple urathane skateboard bushings, several bushing washers (i checked and they are period correct), 2 spring shackles one of 'em cut in half and welded to the top of each perch the other as the connecting link, some other rubber bushings and a couple bolts. still need to get better fasteners. something that won't loosen up when it all moves. drilled and cottered or ...
i'm curious what you all think. i think it'll work fine but how do you think it looks?
    plumbed brakes yesterday..

The kid next door and I gutted the interior and dash from my 52 Lincoln, pulled the doors, removed the glass, and waked the roof off. Then the fun part, inventorying the parts and cleaning the mess.

I started pulling the motor out of my soon to be daily driver. Removed the hood and drained the fluids, all next week after work I'll be in the shop taking the motor out. I did not get the dead compressor off the truck so I still have to have shop air to raise the front of the truck up. I have to have a truck for work so my F-100 and 360 swap are on the back burner again. I also cleaned my shop.

I moved my Plymouth into a garage this weekend. The I had to do National Guards. I met a buddy and he offered me a 700R4 thats about new for $150. So now Body work is going to have to wait for the tranny and maybe a new cam.

Raked leaves, got the frame for my 37 Dodge truck in the garage for the winter, bought the truck in 82, raked leaves, did some daydreaming about the truck, raked leaves, now I know why they call it fall.
