Thanks Mark, no worries! This frame will have VERY, very little flex, if any, being that its a relatively short wheelbase, it's narrow, pinched, it's 2x5 .1875" wall box tubing, its curved, it has a 1x2 .120" wall box tubing X frame substructure built into the floorpan, and the body itself is tubing reinforced... it's extremely rigid.

  13. What a nice little car - the side profile is spot on. You did a great job with the frame and body lines.

Interior is nearly finished out... few more small projects to take care of and the metal work should be just about wrapped up!

I love the dropped floor pan, you're gonna be nice and tucked in.

you gonna keep this one andy ?

  21. Looks like you'll be sitting in the car instead of ON IT, like a lot of T roadsters. This is a long thread, what page details the frame and cross member?

I think you mean long-WINDED thread, haha! Yea, I can't even rest my arm on the top of the quarter comfortably, definitely right down in it.

This might be the hamb's laziest build thread... it's pretty spread out. Here's a quick overview.

  24. So the structure flush with the floor is 1x2 .120" wall box tubing?

The reason its 14 pages is because we cant stop complimenting you on the job you're doing. Seriously impressive work as always Andy.

Yep, and they actually overlapped by about and inch and welded to the underside of the framerails. The ends of the X are tapered toward the outside edge so unless you're practically under the car you can't see them at all. A set of long, under-car lake pipes right near the framerails are planned too.

  28. I'm going to steal some ideas for my T. It's gonna be channeled, so I want dropped floorboards to get as much room as possible.

Steal away man, none of this is anything revolutionary, just my take on it...

Did a little work on the hood this morning...

    it's getting there...

Also filled the cowl, made a battery box, and mounted the fuse panel.

    Attached Files:

  30. I'm diggin' it.
The hood blister and that front axle are
    a real statement.
