thanks. it dosnt like pump gas too well though. i found some cheep ass booster that has been working pretty well though. ill probally put race fuel in when i run it though

long story but i had 2 new sets and sold the other for 800.

 

Looks very nice, and I hope it runs great. only thing I don't like is the fuel line over the headers, most tracks won't let you have more the 12" of rubber hose. Not trying to bust your balls just something you might check into before track says you can't run after all that work. it does look very nice and it is hard to get an engine compartment that clean. nice job.

 

14.6@94 with 327 weiand 4 x 2 holley 94's 280 isky cam and ronco magneto and about 9.75-10.0:1 compression. i was pretty happy with it i was expecting to run 15's. the heavy beast supprised me

 

thanks. yeah before the drags im gonna replace all that with metal lines thats all temporary just so i could get the car on the road. i realy hate how crappy it looks.

 

I am not sure that I will be talking alot of crap. My dad has an old roadster pickup and I think were gonna get it rolling for the drags. If it all works out, we'll be taking dads Riley equipped banger down the track. It's my goal, we'll see what happens. If I meet my goal, it should prove to be one of the slowest cars at the track, but dad and I will both be very happy!

Not in the works for this year. I've been spending every spare moment on the '51 trying to get it ready for next years Round Up. My plan is to drive dad's roadster pickup out to the track and have some fun with it. The truck was built in the 60's by a friend of the family. I am anxious to see what it'll do against Mark's flathead roadster.

I picked up a 2x4 set up and a high stall converter for the coupe but unfortunately don't have the time to do the RPU, 51 and install all the goodies.

I have met allot of people that are right around Austin and texas ,
that I see at the races ,
but the hamb has let me get to know who the hell they are ,
although I still think head`s up racing is just silly !
and it`s like watching traffic when a 11 second car races a 16 second car ?

At least your flathead shouln't have any trouble hooking up. Can you do a water burnout with that cute litte motor? You need to bring you reher morrison motor to even stand a chance!

And when you say bring the "throne" back to California, you mean like an outhouse right?

I'm making a few tweaks as well. Nothing major, but should be enough to get the job done.

Here's a serious question though. Are you guys running cheaters or real slicks. I will base me decision on what ya'll and Bass are doing because I wan't to keep it as even steven as possible. I'd prefer to run cheaters because I break shit enough as it is. But I'll risk it if ya'll are bringing real tires.

 

Slicks Baby!! Same ones as last time.. The yack on the street is that Bass got himself some slicks.. My car hasnt ran in probably 2 years.. I have alot of work to do. I cant wait to get out there and hang with you guys..

I have a set of ET Drags and wheels that are going on my '55. And I just put new Moser axles in. So it looks like it's on!

I just killed my Sag. trans and trying to make sure I have it back together by then. I am going to try slicks since mine ran well in Mokan.
