I've already got one and am not in the market but if I had that car I'd probably ask $4500 and be flexible. The lack of a ***le hurts it a lot and the market for these is a lot softer than it was 10 years ago, but it does look to be a nice complete body and there are still buyers who like the old weathered stuff.

You can buy older restoration coupes for $10-$12K that are much, much nicer, or some finished hot rods for $15K plus that might be a much better deal overall, even if they need to be reworked. But then again, there's a lot more people with $3000 in hand than there are people with $10K in hand.

Looks like about a $3000 car in my area unless there is some cool motor under the hood. I only say that looking at the tank in front of the grille... I wouldn't pay that, but would likely want that if I was selling...

$2K-ish, maybe a little more if the other side is the same shape. Good pieces all about. That propane tank up front, and hi-back buckets suggests someone had intentions? Wonder what's sportin' that yellow axle behind it?

I would try to buy it for under $2K, and sell it for over $3K. So there's your quick-sale slow-sale range. I live in a state where ***ling old vehicles is relatively straightforward, and many buyers for that car only want the body anyway.

I would think how easy or hard ***ling in your state would drive the price.

I'd want to see the back end of it.
No ***le in my state is a pretty big problem.
$2K max, but the no ***le would make me pretty nervous. Might never be able to get it to the streets here.
In reality, a lot would depending on what was under the hood, and the condition of the body. I still only see a pile of parts I probably wouldn't even fit in.

The front tank might be a gas tank with an electric pump aboard.
(The original in too bad a shape to fix.)

if you were to take that to the Pleasanton Goodguys next weekend with $2,000.00 on your for sale sign you would sell it before you even got parked. car looks to have "good bones".
I'd ask $4,000.00 at least. that would be the Commiefornia price ... the 9 county San Francisco Bay Area has over 7.7 million people within an hours drive which makes higher prices more likely

Not sure if that car has a VIN, if it does you can do a bonded ***le in Wisconsin my understanding is if and when it comes back clean you’ll be issued a new ***le.

I would part it out. The body looks good. With the doors, deck lid, garnish moldings etc should be easily sold for 2,500.00. The fenders, hood, radiator, radiator shell etc should easily sell for 100.00 each. The ch***is could be 500.00 or more, depends on how much is there. Also, if you part it out, no need for a ***le!!

In my neck of the woods that would likely go for CAN$10K if there was a ***le.

No ***le is a problem for Idaho residents, All you can get is a "conditional ***le" if you have the a vin number. Then you have to wait 3 years and someone else can show up with a ***le and have the cops take it from you. Ive heard of some scams.

My son bought this one last fall for $2000, minus the engine which I bought. Came with rear fenders, repop running boards, radiator, a shell or 2 and some other misc stuff but no front fenders or headlight parts. Came with a ***le but we think it belongs to stock ch***is and running engine originally under this body. It was also purchased for $400.

Throwing that silly tank in the s**** bin adds 500 to the value of the car. The asking price for the body alone is 2 to 3 K around here where I am at. It's supply and demand though and if you are in an area where there are more available the price isn't all that high.
I'd agree that a guy is probably better off to pay 8/10K for an older restoration of a Model A though.

Funny thing, The car is 65 miles from me and has a clear Washington tiltle. He may have to bargin a bit but won't be coming down to 2K. Screenshot (2887).png Screenshot (2888).png Screenshot (2889).png

Looks to be last time tagged 60's if it was then .but whats Weird
    It has a Historical tag?

    5-7 k, If parted out around 8-9 k
No ***le No big deal , ***le is only for "Bare Frame " its Pre war , Rest including body has Nothing to do with ***le as long as never a re-issued ***igned ***le out side of Ford , I would say
    So who care's ,

But now back to the "Historical tag"
    Most states pay $50-100
Run Vin or If there a state ***igned#
It will tell you if in System ,or If registered in last 30 ish years , then go from there .

Ohio's much the same. A friend did a lost ***le '34 Chevy barn find a few years back. Took 4-6 weeks and a judge had to sign off on it in the end. Not as painful as expected, really.

Since this has been hashed out and a consensus reached, I'll toss in the personal offer. He's gotta take one or more of my dead projects in a straight trade!:) Not going to fix it up, but change of scenery. :D

On a Model A, the VIN is the engine serial number. Nothing on the frame. So ***le goes with engine.

I have never owned a Model A. However, I have hung around here a while.
My limited understanding is that there is a serial number stamped on the engine, and in many cases, this same number is stamped on the left frame rail under the cowl area.
Of course, over time engines got swapped and ownership was handled in various ways at state level (***les). Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is a much more modern concept.
