Any one seen or used these Iwata W-71G on ebay and other places for $150 on the web? Are they knock offs or industrial paint sprayers? What gives? http://www.ebay.com/itm/BNIB-Iwata-...h=item1c2eb4fecf&ssPageName=RSS:B:SHOP:US:101 I had hoped for a licensed run of an old design or some bootleg clone of an older design that sprays better than the original....
Most of their guns are 350 and up. In my Auto Body Toolmart Catalog there is a lower gun level, kind of entry level for $126. I am funny about guns. I hate to spend to much as I am not a pro, but I hate to spend to little and get ****. I painted my last car with a TP Tools paint turbine and was very satisfied. For my next project I am going to probably buy a middle of the road Devilbiss 1.4 for the paint, and a generic 2.3 tip gun for the Euro Primer.
I have a Iwata dont remember the numbers Bought it 30 years ago for more than that have worked perfect here is the latest work i did with it a couple a weeks ago
Didn't see a top port for the cup. so it might be a siphon feed, they didn't say HVLP, either, so it probably is just an old fashioned high pressure gun.

anest iwata is the brand name, that just says iwata pluss ... Hong kong? Free shiping? And that cup is mounted funny like a air brush, never seen that model and i never seen a verry nice gun under $300. I would not buy it! Best gun for the $ that I used was a tekna, I spray them every day, I like them better then my satas.
The gun pictured is a little bad *** gun. The cup is side mounted and you can spin it to any angle. I used it for tight spaces,ie firewalls and dashes where you need to get in tight spaces or odd angles.
Ryno do you have experience with this model or one close? I have seen these on the web for about a year but they haven't Flooded the market. I thought maybe its an older design, something marketed for overseas use or a small frame touch up gun.
yes i have used one, not sure on the model # but im sure they dont offer too many like it. i think i used the 1.4 tip, for a base and clear.
I have picked up 3 over the years with a 1.0 tip. It's bigger than a touch-up gun and smaller than a regular gun with a 1.4-1.8. I was getting them for $50.00 about 10 years ago. A knock off of the Iwata W71, and my favorite gun for medium to small jobs.
