Not sure what your referring to here, is it the plate type of adapter?

  3. S10 T5s have a longer input shaft and I have heard of people putting a plate between the transmission and bell housing to make up this difference. Also, the later S10 T5s have a Ford bolt pattern. It is possible someone has made a plate adapter for mating this transmission to the Chevy belhousings. Why don't you post a couple of pictures?

These are easy enough to get, from a variety of suppliers.

Most likely it is something similar to this one on Ebay 191474011114 Cast plate machined to space the trans off the bellhousing the correct distance and made to locate the trans correctly.
This one is a bit more elaborate

There was also one that looked more like it was cut out of a piece of steel plate with a waterjet or plasma that I didn't put the link to.

There is a guy on here that makes T-5 adapter plates. His user name is INLINE and he has a web site called Vintage Metal Works. Got an adapter to put a Mustang WC T-5 on my SBC. Nice guy, had my adapter in 10 days, reasonable price, 10% off for Hambers.
