I need to raise the front of my 56 Chevy "Door Machine" for that old time gasser look. Unfortunately the car came with disc brakes and the lowered front spindles. Does anyone know what front springs would work best to raise the car approx 4 inches? I'd rather replace the springs than jamb a bunch of spring spacers in the old springs.
I'll suggest selling the lowered spindles and buy stock spindles, heavier springs, and ball joint spacers to jack it up. Maybe someone here will know what springs will work.
you must replace the spindles---find some raised ones if you can or use taller springs with ball joint spacers...
Yesterdays trendy parts being replaced with todays trendy parts. Thats what hot rodding is all about...
I actually thought about putting a straight axle under an 85 Chevy pickup. I was trying to find a use for some bolt on 10 spokes.
