I had one on a 4 banger I had a couple years ago.
I used a Jacobs computer ignition with it..(Blue box just above the distributor)
Ran .070 plug gap and it had so much spark it almost didn't need gas.
Turned 6500 twice a lap when the engine was in my race car.

I collect vintage quarter midgets (race cars for kids) and Kong Jackson built some speed equipment for them in the late 1950's including a distributor. I was lucky to find a nice one. I do not know how many he built, but my guess is not very many! Thanks.

    Yeah...I may do that....
If I were to shell out the $$$ for one...it'd HAVE to be the one with opposing twin caps however.:D

I was aware of the Jackson ignition for the Continental quarter midget
engines...I built many of those engines in the 50's and used that unit on quite a few.

Where at in Fife? I work there too, heck of a commute from Milton. :) If you buy a RotoFaze from Joe it will be the new style. He tried to get me to "upgrade" mine when I talked to him a few years ago. I wasn't interested at all.

Being a dual point I'm not sure that the conversion would work??
I like the pertronix units, but if I had a roto faze, I sure wouldn't convert it.

I've got a more standard Roto Faze for a Studebaker engine.
