I believe that it is somewhere on the East Coast, maybe New Jersey. I'm pretty sure John D'Agustino owned it for a while in the late 80s and sold it to someone back here.

I don't know the whereabouts of any of his other early kustoms, though I am fairly certain his two-tone green Merc is still around somewhere. Maybe his shop truck too.

Someone posted recently that LeRoy Goulart searched exhaustively for his shoebox some time ago, and was unable to locate it. Someone needs to clone that one...

Billy Belmont owns it now, along with the original Volksrod, I think. Somewhere in New England.

Yep it's owned by Billy Belmont of Belmont's Rod & Custom in Dedham, MA. (A little ways south of Boston).

  5. thanks for the info guys. i talked to winfield at the hot rod reunion in bowling green, ky this summer and he told me goulart was looking for his but has had no luck. he is building a clone for him now. he also told me that only 3 of his early cars are known to exist. thats hard to imagine with all the cars he's built. i would love to own an early car famous or not. i don't have deep pockets or anything but thers's got to be an early car out there somewhere a workin' man can buy.
