Big Jon the pics rule that is what I was looking for. And everyone else thanks for the info and keep it comming. Anyone need a Jag rearend? it is still under the car I will pull it this weekend and let you know what gears it has.
According to their web site the rear and motor/****** are gone.My brother has a 66 chevy truck and was hoping to score the rear for his.We have been looking for a complete car but have not been able to find one on the cheap. Thanks for the info on the gearing though.Ed
dirty ed and 460 willy I will try and load all my front end pictures as i go , I still might have to notch the ch***is to get the steering in. This should drop the front end 3-4 inches Behind the plate that touches the side of the ch***is i have also put 2 anti crush tubes in the ch***is with a loose plate on the inside that all bolts together.
For my '49 Lincoln, I just grafted the whole Jag subframe on. This keeps everything original Jag including crossmember mounts etc. .
i used a chevy master cylinder and the chevy power steering pump.............simple and easy to get...worked fine if the car is lite enough no pump just fill the rack up and connect a hose outlet to inlet ....worked great in my 51 ford trk
