Part # on box says 8-1139RP .040 . I was told when bought they were 289 Ford. They are also labeled 12:1 CR. So I Know they are 40 over and 12:1 compression, as cast and not forged. Would like to confirm the application. Thanks John

If you googled 8-1139 or 8 1139 you'd have to search it both ways for it to come up ...since the computer sees those numbers differently. Not to mention adding the letters at the end. Googling just the 1139 will give you both results. Of course you add "Jahns and pistons" to weed out as many results as you can. I have a 1968 Bell Auto catalog and will look in there for you. I think they used to sell Jahns pistons..

Another possibility : without seeing the actual box, could that first digit indicate that the box contains 8 each of part #1139? Just a random thought.....

Yes...the 8 means 8 pistons.....looked it up in my 1968 Bell Auto catalog and it shows they are small block Ford. They show them as fitting 221 to 302...depending on bore size...so once you mic them you'll know for sure it's .040 for what engine...
