Well in case you all are not aware??? While we are enjoying the old cars, old friends and old MUD at the Showdown.....The End of the World will begin! Holy Crap.... Take a look....Where does this stuff come from??? May 21, 2011, Judgment Day, Rapture, End World
Well in that case, I can't think of a better way to end it than at the Showdown. How about a HAMB "End of the World" Pre-party friday night?
If you are really worried about cleaning after don't do it.The mud from this track has a way of getting EVERYWHERE!!!! But you have to do it at least once so I say go for it and just clean it off as soon as possible.Bring window cleaner!! The haze from the mud on the glass is a bitch if you drive home in the dark.I did it 4 years ago and I still find clumps of mud but then I don't wash my car,it's one of "those" cars that nobody likes on here.See you at the show, stop by the Bat Outa Hell truck and say Hi.
Dude if you want something that your daughter will talk about for the rest of her life That she did with you then do it. And worry about cleaning it later. But I will tell you this everytime you pull some mudd off of it after, you will laugh uncontrollably and you will say you did that with your daughter. JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!
The mud has been good for a number of stories. A friend of mine took his 37 Chevy coupe out on the track for the first time last year. I had no problem seeing his dirt trail going home down the highway even when he got out of sight. He is still living at home and when his Dad heard his open headers coming in, he hit the door opener for the shop. When he saw the muddy car, he put the door back down in a hurry before he could pull it in. He plans on going deeper this year since last years mud is finally pretty much gone......
Looks like rain in the morning for north Jersey....will be setting out early but might not be in the 34 if its raining....no roof insert or wipers on the ol girl...plus this is my first year going and I got an 8 gallon gas tank.....MMMMM might make for an all day adventure...see what happens...see ya's there -Eric
