The 2006 Jalopy Showdown is May 20th, the weekend we have been doing the show the past several years. I am meeting today with the owner of a local airport about 15 minutes from the Showdown about doing drag racing on that Sunday, the 21st. Anyone interested in staying for the extra day? I'm going to let him run his deal there...and relax with everyone else. It will be set up that you HAVE to be at the Showdown the day before or you dont race. Let me know what you think and I'll let you know how the meeting goes.
They race there now. Kind of cool that if a plane wants to land you have to clear the runway/strip! Anyone that knows where this is at, please keep it under your hat until I firm it up. The big boys jumped in on our weekend already...thats enough.

If I can get my heap on the road, yes, that would be cool!

Maybe I'll set my sights higher and borrow gamps old nitro flatty! I'd be gunnin' for that valve covered 302!

Don't forget to mention that more than likely there is no Xmas tree. A flagman will start the racers. All heads up racing!

Larry, Is this your way of motivating me to finish the Lyndwood? It would be neat to have it return to its birth state running for the first time since 1962. It first raced at the Montgomery N.Y. Airport with a Hemi in 1960.

37, finish ALL your projects and bring them down.

Sixcarb, I'll let you know later when/if we can firm this up.

Larry, just make sure that the *** wagons and mustangs that usaully race there, are not involved. Other than that, it would be a great idea. I guess I'm going to have to start on my new engine. thanks buddy.
