Of course my buddy has to get married on the 28th.

 

Maybe I am missing it but what are the hours? I would be coming out for the day from Jersey.

I've seen all the pics and the show looks like a blast!

 

Gates open at 8AM and runs all day. Will be a bunch that starts Friday night and hangs out till Sunday. Yep, there's camping!

Williams Grove (15 mins. away) has 410 & 358 sprints Friday evening.

 

Less than 2 weeks out & the tags are here for the invited cars. Only 150 posters being printed.

I can't wait for this show. There is just nothing else around that is as chill as this. Looking forward to that Dash plate. Hanging Friday and Saturdy night with all these shitheads is just the thearapy I need. ( Beer and smokes included)

Any idea on what kind of crowd to expect? I know the infield is going to be limited, but what has the response been like so far? I'm hoping to make the trip from Pittsburgh...

 

Response has been surprisingly good. It's going to be a good time no matter how many cars show up! I dont expect the numbers of the Showdown...frankly I hope we DONT get that many people. I really want this more laid back with just the coolest stuff. There will be the regular swap stuff, there will be the pit beef guys, there will be my favorite hot rods & customs, there will be vintage race car track time.

There will not be goofy rat rods on the infield, there will not be bands (need to be able to hear for track time), there will not be a metal meet : ( Laid back in the summer time!

 

Sounds great Larry... I have no doubt that you and your crew will put on a first class event. Hoping to make it out to this one.

 

I started going to the Hagerstown Speedway in MD. in 1960 when there were just two classes of racers. All Jalopies, but either 6 cyl. or V8 and most of them were still flatheads. That video sure took me back to the good old days...........

Unfortunately i can't go..one of my best clients needs me to photograph that day, and i would rather make money than spend it. Sorry Larry, it was a tough choice but i have to do what is best for my family. hope the show goes well, as i am sure it will. i'll look for updates here and other social media sites.
