It was the first time there for my wife and I. We had a blast, met some great people camping on Friday, and saw some cool cars. Thanks to Larry and eveyone who makes this happen, we'll see you next year. My pictures are here: http://s303.photobucket.com/albums/nn133/DDerry/Jaolpy Showdown 2009/
Great pics, and it was an awesome show!! I came up friday night in the 37 and camped out which was great for the band and an early start on the swap meet. Got to see some nice cars and meet some nice people. Saturday was a blast as always, great show Larry, and i got some pics to try to post up later.
What a great show! Thanks to Larry and everyone who helped make it happen. Thanks also to everybody who posted pictures.
I took my wife and daughter along. We all had a blast. It was a great show and a pretty good swap meet.I'm going up Friday next year.Hopefully the 56 will be back together and it wont have a hood.
I even got the pleasure of meeting Denise, but before she brushed her teeth.Again thanks to Larry and your cast of hero's for putting on such a great event.
A big thanks to all you photo takers, I was there and spent hours walking the rows and you guys are showing me cars I never saw...How do youse do that?? And I got to add to the list of us who appreciate the time and effort that Larry and his gang put into this. And to Mr Paxton and the museum for having the place to do this. A big THANK YOU.. This old guy will be smiling for a week, at least. And I got home before the rain hit. A perfect day.
Who owns the DARK DARK blue tudor that's in the one pic? I love the seats! They look like movie theater or high school auditorium seats.
Here's one more quick video, this guy spun out, then spun it around and sprayed these people with mud, they weren't too happy about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cR_tfH3ud88&feature=channel_page
The showdown was great as always... what a fun day with great people... Thank you Larry for a very good and memorable weekend... movie of the parade lap to follow... Also... anyone who had Rusty's homemade Hit-N-Miss ice cream got a real treat! haha...
Great time....... glad I made it this year, but I'm still getting the mud out of my teeth. Thanks for the ride thunderbbirdesq. kinda like this ^^ but more mud.
Here's the parade lap video... a legion of bombers or a pack of hot rods??? turn sound up! <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pw1G5FpaTXw&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pw1G5FpaTXw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I made the trip from NH, took me about 10 hours each way. Had a great time, went over to Zach's on friday then the show on saturday. It was well worth the drive! I wish I had meet more Hamb people, I had no idea so many of you were there.
The first one is Megan's Model A. I really wanted to hear how that Chevy in the Plymouth Coupe sounded, but missed it.
Wow, people actually took pics of my car haha. Anyway, I was waiting to see who got tickets. When we were rolling in around 7PM on Friday there were two cops waiting at the intersection on route 15 that looked they were waiting for any reason to pull people over. It's a shame that the police have to be like this when the show is bringing in revenue and attention into their town.
Anyone know what the chassis is under the Tudor body? Glad everyone had a good time, maybe next year for me.
Pat - glad you are all restored and back to original condition. I just HAVE to get to this event next year! Thanks to all you guys for the great pictures.
Man I wish I could've made it this year... Looks like everyone had a great time and the weather held out for everyone. Thanks for posting all the pictures everyone (since I couldn't be there at least I got to see who was there).
