I was going to tack these onto someone else's thread but... i didn't. Great show again this year and the weather seemed to be all around us but our little area over us was pretty damn good. Thanks for the great show Larry. It's always a great start to summer and the summer car show season. I took 612 pics, here are just a few. I have pictures of all the cars lined up but everyone already posted them so i'll post action shots that i liked. It's amazing Clark isn't blind. Years of mud in the eyes can't feel good. These girls were flying around the track and having a blast. Look at their faces. Cutest and most affectionate couple at the show. My fav. Truck. I love this thing. 1937 Dodge. I know it's everywhere but it's awesome.
So Megan, how come you didn't get to drive? You still going to the Roadster Show instead of Bowling Green?
Your action shots of the 999 are priceless. I love that car and the people in it are having the time of their lives!
#1) I had already driven the track in my A claiming the slowest lap speed of the day (at full throttle!) #2) I'm really not sure how a person (Clark) is able to see after the first puddle. I was pretty much blind for lap two only making it TWICE the fun of lap one! And yes, I am going to the roadster show. Less than one month and counting! Sorry
cool pic of the dadge sedan leaving the show. Its my buddies car, may not be everyones taste but he started building it with his dad when his dad had some complications and ended up in the hospital and had a piece of his brain removed. He is still in a rehab facility and they dont know if he will ever fully recover. His son finished the car the way his father wanted it and this show was its maiden voyage. Still alot of work to be done but he was happy to be able to bring it. Just wish his father was able to come along.
Love me some dirty hot rod girlsLooks like too much fun. Does Clark let everyone take laps in the 999? I wish we could get shows like this in Cal.
cool shot man thanks my friend tom took 400 pictures I thought that was alot and I heard jenn took 4 cards worth I dont know how much that is but its got to be alot tom also got a picture of these 2 women before they could wipe there faces after the second lap cant wait for him to post them thanks again HOT ROD ED
A lot of them should be at http://www.dynamitedave.com under the car show section soon. A couple days max. I need to sift through them all. I took some random pics that won't make the site tho.
This WAS a very sharp couple. I checked them in at the gate and my poor old heart skipped a beat!!;-)
Not too many people know the story of fixing the steering box with KY The girl driving 999 is actually the daughter of famed sprint car driver Bobby Allen. She's not too bad of a driver her self. Larry had to slow her down. Clark
i use the Cannon power shot digital elphs. They are small yet powerful. I can carry it in my pocket and take some pics without people noticing. This is the current one i use but all of them rock. This is my 4th or 5th one. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10669042
Frickin awesome footage of the girls! That is the best and funniest hot rod shot I've ever seen. Its what hot rodding is all about. Drivin em like they should! thanks for this thread! -Shiny
Well, when I drove 999 around, I was blind instantly and I had Clark tell me where I was going for lap 2. I don't really know if he could see or not either though. ha ha ha
