I just read on the Shoeboxford website that Jim of JAMCO Suspension p***ed away last week and they are currently out of business.. Jim's wife doesn't know, as of yet, what is going to happen to Jamco.
Just got that same message myself from their answering machine. Sad... I guess I'll hold tight before I go looking for someone else to supply me with lowered front and rear springs for the '50 Fleetline. Peter
Wow, I just spoke with two weeks ago. Sorry to hear that. We just finished install some shocks and springs from him last week on my 51 poncho. RIP..
What a bummer.I had just received the last part of my shipment for my shoebox about 3 weeks ago.We talked on the phone for awhile and still the great guy he was 14 years ago when I bought all my suspension for SHOEZE..We talked about the roadster and he really liked the car......Only the good die young?? Time-Bomb John
Man thats awful Jim went outta his way to help me get the springs for my Pontiac. UPS screwed up and lost one Jim helped me and went out of his way to help me. What a loss.
He must have had legal problems, for his sons not to be able to keep it running. Maybe something as simple as the suppliers giving him a life-time discount (now expired).
Hey, give 'em a break, the guy only died a week ago. Lots of stuff to do when anyone dies, last thing on their minds is running the company.
My condolences to the family, but I sure hope this is not the end of Jamco. I have my 51 Ford's control arms & a set of Granada spindles boxed & ready to ship for modification.
he was a really nice guy and went out of his way to help me and my customers .he also stood behind his products. i'm really sorry to hear this . i hope that they figure a way to keep the company going .the car community lost another car guy . really sad ...
