Thanks. These guys are living on borrowed time. Wonder where the IRS is here? You'd have to be desperate, naive or nuts to order from them.
wow just wow... I havnt dealt with them in 10-12 years but man I guess they went downhill. I can say the products I got were of the finest quality and worked flawlessly. and I got them in a timely manner. They have always been hard to get a hold of , but dang this dont sound right.. bummer. but id still use their products. they are bit chin..
You see this same scenario time after time, a business that makes a pretty good product but who has zero business smarts or customer service skills. Someone needs to go to work for Jamco and take control of it before it gets to the point of no return. I bet a large part of their problems are that their suppliers have them on a cash only basis because of not paying their bills on time. I have worked for companies who had that problem and it is a bitch, trying to do your job and not having the stuff you need to do it. Jamco may need to go bankrupt and reorganize if they are going to get healthy, or at least stop taking new orders (and people's money) until the current backlog is cleared up. But that probably won't happen as they depend on that new money to keep things going. But if that fragile bubble bursts, lots of customers will get burned in the end. Don
Don, Aside from no Bussiness smarts a lot of companies without enough capitol to keep them afloat. It ends up being like a ponzi scheme forever robbing peter to pay paul. It has actually been suggested that I contact a couple of companies that actually produce a decent product but have no customer service or shipping management. Something that I could do from home but the ones that were suggested are so far gone at this point that I would not want to end up with the liabiltiy. Damned shame. Some of them would be worth saving.
This is sad to hear, I have used Jamco parts before and I was always satisfied. It was a cash and carry deal for me as I am nearby so shipping parts was never an issue. This makes me think twice about buying from them again, but I do hope they get their act together.
Where is the talented fabricators that can fill this void? There is a demand for these products. The prideful 'Buy American' Made in America types can step up too. And every JAMCO thread has a few HAMB members chipping in.
Google "jamco suspension complaints" and pack a lunch and ice down a 12 pack, you can keep busy for hours.
I found the news clip entertaining bout the news anchors response . "The owner of jamco stated he couldn't get suppliers to provide him with parts". Thanks weired I never heard problems from cpp or abs power Brake ever having problems supplying manufacturers. With parts. Just a way to save face I guess.,
So with all this said , jamco sucks , where do we go for the 1954 chevy deluxe lowering kit , i see walton does the rear leaf kit but who sells the shortened front springs & shocks . Just cut the coils??
Since this is a traditional place, build it from parts off other cars and or a spring shop like they used to do
To be fair, there used to be a lot more junk yards to find those "parts off other cars"-and a lot more spring shops, too.
i found this (and another) thread AFTER i ordered some parts from JAMCO, i got a little nervous and called them after about 5-6 days, they said they were scheduled to be delivered today. THEY WERE DELIVERED just like they said they would be. i thought it was only fair to mention it.
I wait 2 years for my lower springs. I send a message to Jamco, I phoned but nothing... It's really not pro ! I'm French it's the reason ? I'll come one day on holiday in the U.S. ... Take my money ...
