Anyone headed to the James Dean Rebel Run in Fairmount and Gas City Indiana this year ? Usually a decent show Used to live in Marion and went every year Happen to be in the area for it this year so going back for first time in years Looking forward to it.
A group of us will be at the rebel run. 6 or so cars. My wife and I will be in our 55 customline. We went last year and had a blast!
The Rebel run that was in Gas city is now in Lima Ohio this coming weekend,there is still a show in gas city but is called the Ducktail run now.
I am helping with the "Deuce Day" corral on Saturday at the "James Dean Run" from 11:00-4:00 If you have a Deuce, bring it. Its free with your "James Dean " entry.
i plan on going to ducktail. i will probably cruise over to fairmount one night. i grew up there so it is always nice to see some elementary friends. ducktail is just a better show though.
If I can leave early enough I will head over to Fairmount before going to Gas city where I will be the rest of the day.
My whole family is going! Pop's in his 1931 Tudor/ Lil Hemi package, my younger brother in his 1931' traditional tudor/ 348 combo, and me in my 1952 Lincoln. We are there for the weekend and will try to hit James Dean and Ducktail both!
Planning on going, to sons in Indy, then to Jas Dean & Ducktail run, Ist time. Sounds like a good one!!
Just got back home from Gas city and had a great time like usual,ran into a bunch of friends and spent most of the time scrounging the swapmeet which has been very good the last few years. For the last two years I have found more stuff there then all the other swapmeets I have been to all year.
We went to both shows yesterday..... ( Saturday)........ This was my first time down there..... A little disappointed with the show in Fairmont but the show in Gas City was AWESOME...... The only thing about Gas City was it was pretty muddy in the swap meet area but not a lot we can do about mother nature.... Best swap meet I have been to in years..... Even found parts for a 59' Chevy that we are working on........
A friend & i went to gas city & Fairmont. This was my first time. I think Fairmont was lacking. Gas city was awesom. Will try to take our 61 TBird or the 48 chevy next time.
I agree, The former Rebel Run is now replaced by The James Dean run and is Fairnount, IN. and the current Rebel Run is in Lima, OH.
