  1. I was standing less than 2 feet from him on Sunday....at Pebble Beach....wearing my HAMB shirt....with my jacket on (it was still early!)

    It's cool he's on here.

Most of those tards that have money didn't just fall into it...

Some of those tards would steal your shirt AND your wife from you nice and legal if you tried to deal with them.

Everybody always thinks everyone in LA is stupid and/or high...

    Stuff just costs more there.

But after living in Austin, I gotta say stuff ain't a WHOLE LOT more expensive there... People must be drinking the same water here.

I was just trying to be funny. I already sent a letter to the tonight show and got a reply that he wasn't interested. I just wanted to say in a round about way that every body is trying to sell something and I hope he is out enjoying life instead of wasting his time reading all the junk we are all writing trying to figure out who he is. If Jay wants something he has the ability to find it. Gumpa

No! I'm not Jay Leno. I do count him as a friend. He is a good guy but he never lets me pay for lunch. :)

I think it's a good idea no one knows, even me,his screen name. The guy already works 24/7 and I know he'd try to answer every PM

if you read the first post in this thread you will see it was not made for kissing anyones ***. i figured it would be a 4 or 5 post thread and hopefully someone would have a little bit of info on how to just let jay know that this bike is for sale. nothing more. now that we know jay is a member it looks like i was (without knowing it) trying to help a fellow hamber out and that is exactly what this site is for.

what the hell is with all this negativity here lately? everyone is so quik to jump on someone else. i guess some people dont feel big unless they are puting someone else down. take skratch's thread yesterday for exaple. its a shame that some people that have alot of info to share might not want to share it because they dont want to be h***led by the few. me, i have thick skin and this **** just rolls off but i am sure some of the others might not be as thick skinned.

I'm just glad someone of his means is in the hobby.

Now that I think about it, I thought about contacting him once to see if he would want a Hudson-Es*** dealer repair manual from the mid-20s. At least, there is no mention of Terraplane anywhere. Has lots of interesting repair techniques and part numbers for car parts and tools necessary to do the work and it's printed in two colors - black and orange. I don't know if he'd have a use for info on such "pedestrian" cars but if anyone here has a use for it, it's yours for the cost of shipping...

  9. Exactly...

Think about it guys... messageboards are one of the few places that well known people can go to, hang out... and interact and like the average guy and not have anyone up on their pole.

So can we let this one drop off the page?

    Sam.

Why am I not suprised that Bluto knows Jay? Come to think of it though, have you ever seen Bluto and Jay in the same place at the same time?HAHA
Bluto probably has more cool stuff than Jay. How's Poland this time of year?

Jay is one guy that looks to be very down to earth.

A friend of mine sold him an Ardun, and he took him out for dinner with his wife! Cool guy for sure.

I don't think hambers would bust his chops, I think it would be cool to interact with him on here on a more personal level, **** Ryan should give him 2 accounts one he can lurk and 1 he can chat with us as himself just incase it got out of hand (which i doubt it would)

    Aww..NOSURF,..wish I could.....
I am just a slave to the art board.....just not in the cards this year. But next year,I will be hunting for your perogies!

As for the Jay Leno thing....

Leave the ****ing guy ALONE!....man..if he wants to be known here...let it be his decision.I thought we discussed cool traditional rods and customs.

Some of you guys are acting like ****ing stalkers......sheesh.
    :)

  20. Actually, a place like the HAMB Drags would be the safest for Leno, Jesse James or other high profile rodders. I have never been around such a laid back group. It all comes down to the dirt under your fingernails.

  21. I have a rusty piece of **** he may like.....I don't like it but he might.......

And giving out his user name is not a good idea, most people on here are cool with just about everything but there are ***holes everywhere. Attracting them because they can "talk to celebs" is dumb and do you really want them clogging up the HAMB

If the guy wanted to I am sure he is able to post here and say "Hey, this is Jay Leno here".
I am pretty sure he is capable of typing a post if he wanted to.

I am damn glad to see that no one is outing him, give the guy some respect for crissakes!
Just because I see a guy on TV doesn't mean I "know" these people.
Jesse James posted and half the people here didn't believe it was him.
He was looking to buy a 32 Vicky and I hope he finds one.
I would love to have tech and pic posts from both guys, but to each their own...

    regards,
    DJ

Yep! To me it's about being a car guy. I really couldn't care less about the stardom. I'd just like have a chance for him to show off his toys and let me drool on them a bit. Heck, It'd be fun to run him at the drags too!

up until this morning.... if you typed the phrase "I'm Jay Leno" you would get laughed out of here. I never thought Jay would be the type to hang here.

The fact that he does... and is an Alliance member pegs his cool meter for me.

So... lets just forget about this before we drive him away.

very well said. i have got the info i needed thru numerous pm's and posts so could we please let this thread die or if ryan could lock it that would be even better. my intension was not to out anyone or to make anyone uncomfertable about being here. especially someone with the knowledge and collection he has and the fact that he is here to share and learn with us. if he comes here to trade info with us that should be enough for everyone here. i would really be sad if we lost anyone that has his knowledge. we are all here to help each other out no matter what our names are.
