If he did get that Stanley up to 110MPH it was only 18MPH away from braking the 1906 SLR Record Stanley set, and was just broken last month. If it is true it most likely with his 30HP Vanderbilt Cup replica, a very nice looking car.
I caught it last night as well. Jay is truly a likable super collector and a wealth of knowledge, it's always fun to see inside his shop. My favorite quote from the show was when he was talking about his fully restored Duessy that won at Pebble Beach the year prior and he says "that's what the American dream is all about, a simple millionaire beating a bunch of billionaires"....that would seem pretentious from anybody else but from him that's funny ****.
I saw the show when it was first on a year or so ago, my question is what was the car next to the Duseie in the garage and what happen to it?? Rex
I missed it! I really would like to see it. I'm getting hitched in two weeks and the local car museum is hooking me up with their Dusenberg and a driver. That's going to be the highlight of my wedding. PS. Please don't tell her I said that! LOL
Saw the show yesterday...did anyone notice there was another old car in the garage? I could not make it out. please tell me you saw it and I was not having a flashback or something
