Was wandering thru the auto wrecker today and noticed that the newer 2wd Jeeps Waganeers and Cherokees come with a straight axle with a 5x4.5 bolt pattern. The axle looks like it fits inside the spindle so it doesn't look like it would be hard to replace or shorten. Has anyone ever used this set on a gasser project? Any comments?
I had one of these trucks. The 2wd and 4wd have the same suspension, they just used an empty tube instead of a diff to make the front end. Should be easy to use but probably would look too modern. Shawn
