Two years ago I thought I had a great idea for an enexpensive rod. A while back a lot of guys talked about Now it seems like all the guys talking about are doing did it.
Heres my version. 45 CJ2A body and frame. Doner- 75 Pinto. Drive train, front suspension. 9" ford rear, modified rear springs with a flip and c-cut. Lots of cutting and welding, I would really like input, good and bad.
I call mine a Willys roadster that was born the same year I was. Period perfect?
Remember the only thing sacrid in hot rodding is having fun and being bold. [IMG]

It's cool. I don't really like the front end sitting out in front of the grill though.

  7. well i leave weather its aproprate or not for here to others. but I like it too. don't get butt-hurt if this thread gets deleted though, as your only supposed to introduce yourself here, they might just move it :)

  8. I like the look, but after opening the picture, that front suspension is pretty homely. i think it would look cool with a solid front axle.... or cover the A arms some how.... oh yeah.. and welcome!

I like it, except for that front suspension on it. A buddy of mine is doing a willy's pickup hot rod with a chop top, his is deffinetly different and will be very cool too.

i think that looks cooooool ,i started out doing that to a 95 jeep wrangler yrs back had everything to assemble it,had a 4 inch windshield chop, cut front frame rails off at firewall and made straight rails, monster c notch on rear, tci custom ifs,350 sbc with 350 turbo trans, painless wiring kit, went through divorce and had no place to finsh it ,after sitting under tarp for couple years i decided to sell it so i started parting it out, made me sick to see all my hard work and dreams go like that..took the money and used on down payment on a new 2008 wrangler,i would rather have my hotrod and finished it...would you be interested in selling that jeep ? iam a hardcore jeep fan and hotrod fan and that combines both my pations into one ..anyways...looks coooollllll to me..

FWIW, Here's my version. I stopped cause it was to Ratty. At least I was using a straight axle.
These pics are from 3 years ago, Wow its been that long. If I start it again It will be more hot rod and less ratty. IF If If If .

    Oh and Welcome from Iowa.
