image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I know this has been covered but might be some like me that would like side by side comparison. Out of 2004 grandcherokee. Amazing similarities! Kudos to the first guy that spotted this in the bone yard. Wilt tempt to put in my 56. BTW end of shaft after soaking in evaporust for about 36 hours

How do the pitman arm splines match up? I'd call it a good find, all you need to do is make up a plate for the frame and a DD connector for the steering shaft. The '59 has a real deep drop down to the steering linkage, a real show stopper unless I go with a Borgeson box.

Most Jeep Grand Cheorkee Streering Boxes Require a LARGE Notch Cut into the Frame along with a Adaptor Plate.
The Borgeson Box does Bolt on, But Requires Modifications to the Steering Column. Getting the Stock Column Shifting to Work may/can be a Problem. Good Luck!

Splines on stock shaft do not match Jeep. The jeep shaft is larger. The jeep arm is almost exactly like the GM arm off the big power steering gear (not the 605 box). The jeep is also known as a WJ and if you google it You will find dropped steering arms for that box. This is what I am working on now and will update my build thread when I have made some progress .
