    All
Im looking at a Jeep Utility wagon project but am wondering if a stamping for the side panel with the rounded wheel wheel opening and no windows is available anywhere? Would perfer the panel version. I have two Jeep wagons available (49 and 52) to begin my project and am thinking of a early 90's Roadmaster or Caprice wagon for a donor vehicle would be a good start.

Anyone done a front clip on these wagons? Could the Caprice/roadmaster work or too wide (yes, i know these vehicles have a full frame)? Seem to wide at first glance but perhaps not as these GM vehicles were downsized and werent too much bigger than the older Chevelles 1967-1975. Would prefer of course to have the the same front and rear bolt pattens and not get too many differnt vehicles involved for the drive train transplants. Perhaps Mustang II is the only way to go to get a decent power steering unit and frame geometry. Give me some input guys....:)

the axles are pretty narrow on these trucks...ive seen S10 frames under them done pretty nice. closer width, tons of aftermarket parts and cheap to boot.changing frames, axles and customising is a big part of traditional hot rodding...

Haveyou looked at using a 2 wheel drive Cherokee straight axle in front? 4.5X 5 bolt pattern disc brake. They also have power steering. I know its not a independent but with reversed eyes, teflon buttons ect. you can get it down and receive about 75% of a independent. Dont forget a anti roll bar to.

Add a explorer rear with disc brakes and it will match in bolt pattern also.
