We're finishing the trunk floor today. Was gonna work on it yesterday but a '49 Buick got in the way....:). Have been zippin around the neighborhood in it the last couple days. Runs great, stops even better. Exhaust fumes are horrible. Gotta get tailpipes soon.

Went on our first trip outta the neighborhood today. I drove out with Jen in my wagon following. She drove home. Made me real proud to watch something I built go down the road....especially when she left me behind with me in my 300hp wagon!

We've put a few miles on it thru the neighborhood lately but tomorrow morn, it hits the E-way. I'm driving it to work (Chevy dealer) for the first time. Bodywork has started but is slow. I'm excited to prove its reliability.

I always get a pipe with lots on bends and some straight pieces then cut and weld to fit. very inexpensive

Been driving it for a couple weeks now. Other than a drippy drain plug (my fault) no problems at all. I think all the bugs have been worked out mechanically so now.....bodywork! Jenny will learn about metalwork, heat and it's effect on steel, filler, sanding, primer, surfacer, more sanding......Should be fun. In the meantime, it's been on I475 a few times, in heavy traffic and a few rides just because. Jen's driving it to work tomorrow. I'll be paying a visit to my wleder friend to get the left side grille piece/running light repaired.

Sure feels good to watch and drive something I've put together over the past year.

Thanks! Been actually having fun working on this one. No hurry. Runs great. Don't care that it looks like hell. It's safe, runs and stops great and everyone seems to smile when they see it. Can't wait for Sins.

Anyone who bitches about the price of patch panels needs to try making their own. I spent all day today making patterns and patches. Its not fun work. Car is looking great. Jen has the drivers side stripped. I have the drivers side patched up along with the panel under the decklid. Plans call for first coat of surfacer on Tues. Then, we start blocking....
